About Us

Birmingham Timebanks is a new network of neighbourhood and community timebanks in Birmingham, England. Our strength is that we connect timebanks that are based on existing community groups, forums, residents and faith groups across the city, as well as groups of people with similar interestsclick here to find out about the timebanks in the network.

The idea is that by using the same simple city-wide system, members will be able to trade within and between neighbourhood timebanks. We have developed this website as a central point for people to do this – most of the trading of hours goes on in face-to-face meetings in the real world, of course, but this system allows people across the city to keep a record of their hours and to whom they have transferred them.

It’s an exciting time to be involved with Birmingham Timebanks as we continue to expand the network across the city. If you would like to support us and help us to grow the network and its activities, we’d love to hear from you. For all enquiries please fill in the form on our contact page.

To use the Birmingham Timebanks system itself you have to be a member – please contact your local timebank to enquire about joining.

Birmingham Timebanks is supported by the Chamberlain Forum, Barrow Cadbury Trust, Standing Up For Birmingham (SU4Brum), Community On Board and Birmingham City Council.
